Dr Zamurd Ahmad graduated from King Edward Medical University, Pakistan, in 2008. She then began her career as a GP in Pakistan, before moving to Perth. She has worked in General Practice in Perth for 2 years. Dr Zamurd Ahmad relocated with her family to Kaniva in 2015. She achieved her
Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. Now she has moved to Nhill and is available full time in Nhill Medical Centre, Rural doctors.
Her specialty areas include women’s health, skin cancer surgery, aged care, chronic disease management, diabetes, paediatrics and travel medicine.

Dr. Tehreem Azfar is a caring and experienced General Practitioner who offers comprehensive medical care across all aspects of general practice. She has previously worked with Grampians Health in Ballarat and Horsham, gaining valuable experience in supporting a wide range of patient needs within community and regional settings.

Her clinical interests include women’s health, children’s health, aged care, and travel medicine. Dr. Azfar is particularly passionate about women’s health, with a strong focus on antenatal and postnatal care, as well as menopause management. She is experienced in performing cervical screening tests & Implanon insertion, enabling her to provide thorough and supportive care at every stage of a woman’s life.

Dr. Azfar is also confident in managing mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety, and takes a thoughtful, patient-focused approach to care. She is skilled in managing chronic illnesses such as diabetes and asthma. In addition, she supports patients with drug and alcohol concerns and provides guidance for smoking cessation.

Dr Jay is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 25 years experience in the medical field in multiple disciplines.  He has experience and an interest in holistic care in managing chronic diseases, elderly care, paediatrics and all other components in General Practice.  He is passionate about looking at care tailored to individual patient needs and he is also passionate about managing mental health presentations.

Kaniva Medical Clinic

Dr Ashank Jyotishwara Naidu (MBBS PGCGP FFCGP) is based at Kaniva Medical Centre and Kaniva Hospital. He is originally from Fiji and initially started studies in Law before going to India to study Medicine. In total he has 14 years of medical practice. He graduated with MBBS in 2012 and joined the Ministry of Health and Medical Services in Fiji as a Medical Officer working at Sigatoka Hospital and Korolevu Health Centre. In 2016 he became a member of Fiji College of General Practitioners and transitioned into Private General Practice in his home town of Sigatoka in Fiji. He graduated with a Post Graduate Certificate in General Practice in 2020 and became a Fellow of Fiji College of General Practitioners in 2025. His usual day to day practice in his former country included managing NCDs, Emergencies, Paediatric Health, Diabetic Foot Sepsis, IV therapy, Foreign Body Removals, Mental Health and Viral illnesses. At the height of the Covid19 pandemic, Dr Ashank made headlines by engaging in the Barter system in order to continue seeing patients who were financially affected by the pandemic which led to Dr Ashank being part of the initial pioneer group of GPs in Fiji who helped establish the current medicare-style GP health delivery system (PPP). By this time Dr Ashank had established several clinics in Fiji. Having felt he had done all that he could for his country and people, Dr Ashank handed over his clinics to other GPs and decided to come to Australia with his expertise and eagerness to grow his medical career with a fresh approach to life. He enjoys playing soccer and fishing.

Edenhope Medical Clinic

Dr Lordwin Jinga has more than 12 years of experience as a medical doctor. He graduated at the University of Zimbabwe College of Health Sciences in 2012 and worked in different settings, including general practice in Zimbabwe for 5 years. He worked in Wales (UK) in Emergency Departments before moving to Adelaide and then Edenhope. Special interests include Skin Cancer Surgery, chronic disease management and emergency medicine.
