Dr Zamurd Ahmad

Nhill Medical Clinic

Dr Zamurd Ahmad graduated from King Edward Medical University, Pakistan, in 2008. She then began her career as a GP in Pakistan, before moving to Perth. She has worked in General Practice in Perth for 2 years. Dr Zamurd Ahmad relocated with her family to Kaniva in 2015. She achieved her
Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. Now she has moved to Nhill and is available full time in Nhill Medical Centre, Rural doctors.
Her specialty areas include women’s health, skin cancer surgery, aged care, chronic disease management, diabetes, paediatrics and travel medicine.

Dr Usman Niaz

Nhill Medical Clinic

Dr Usman has worked in the hospital system across both UK and Australia. In Australia he has worked in Townsville, Rockhampton and Adelaide. Recently before relocating to Nhill he has worked as a Senior Medical Officer in the emergency department of Modbury Hospital, Adelaide.

His special interests include emergency medicine, skin cancer surgery, minor surgical procedures, diabetes, paediatrics, respiratory medicine and geriatrics.

Dr Haider Yaqoob

Dr Haider Yaqoob, before coming to Nhill, was working in Hospitals in NSW, including Lismore Base Hospital and Nepean Hospital. He has a wealth of experience from working as a Registrar in Cardiology, Respiratory, Emergency Medicine and Geriatrics. The experience he has gained from
working in such demanding specialties has given him skills and confidence.

Special Interest include cardiology, diabetes, paediatrics, respiratory medicine, geriatrics and emergency medicine.

Dr Saima Fawad

Nhill Medical Clinic

Dr Saima Fawad has more than five years experience working in a hospital setting. She has worked at Lyell McEwin Hospital Adelaide and St John Of God Hospital (Murdoch-Perth) within the departments of ED(Emergency), Geriatrics, Oncology, Critical Cardiology Unit, Cardiology, Colorectal,
Women’s health and Paediatrics. She has also acquired additional training within Women health. Dr. Saima has relocated to Nhill with her family from Perth.

Her special interests include aged care, women’s health, paediatrics, geriatrics and chronic disease management.

Dr Sumara Furqan

Kaniva Medical Centre & Goroke Community Health Centre

Dr Sumara Furqan began her career as a GP in Pakistan, before relocating to Australia where she has worked at Modbury Hospital in Accident and Emergency and then as a GP in Darwin before moving to Kaniva.

Her special interests include chronic disease management, diabetes, paediatrics, reproductive medicine, respiratory medicine and women’s health.
